Town of Narragansett Group Surf Lessons by Warm Winds Surf Shop

The Town of Narragansett offers a really cool lesson program through Warm Winds Surf Shop. Lessons are given 7 days a week weather & wave permitting! Lesson time slots will be designated at the beginning of the day but usually run at 11am and 2pm. The greatest number of people in each lesson is eight. The more people in the lesson, the longer the water time will be. It is super important to us that each student receives the individualized attention that they need to ensure a crazy fun and successful surfing experience. These spots fill up quickly on nice days and on weekends. Sign up early as possible for your preferred lesson time at the Warm Winds Lesson Area at the end closest to the seawall in the South Parking Lot at Narragansett Town Beach. Look for the big white surf lesson trailer! . .you can't miss it!

Try and get there 20 minutes before your scheduled lesson time to get your surfboard and meet the instructor. The price of the lesson is $50 per person and will include instruction, surfboard and lifeguard supervision. Wetsuits are available for 10 bucks! Private and Closed-Group Surf Lessons by Warm Winds Surf Shop

Warm Winds also offers private and closed-group lessons. These lessons are by appointment only. These lessons also meet at the lesson trailer and run at 8:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Skimboard Lessons by Mike D. @ Warm Winds Surf Shop

Group skim lessons for beginner to intermediate riders: These lessons will be conducted in a larger group format. The maximum number of people in this type of lessons is 6 people. These lessons will focus on basic techniques - drops, control and flatwater manuevers. All lessons will meet at Narragansett Town Beach by the surf trailer on Friday's and Saturday's at 9am to beat the crowds. Lesson cost is $40. Becuase skimboards are so particular to the rider, everyone needs to bring their own skim.

Semi-private lesson format for advanced rippers: The maximum number of people in this lesson is 3 people. Advanced lessons will focus on planing, wave riding and aerial manuevers. These lessons will meet at the entrance to Charlestown Town Beach. Lesson cost is $50 per person and should be scheduled in advance.
